报告人简介:

François Boué is now the director of Research Emeritus, CNRS, Laboratoire Léon Brillouin LLB/CNRS- CEA Saclay /France. After a high education for research and teaching (French Ecole Normale), he got a full time research position (CNRS), but kept a teaching and training activity. A large part of he career ran at LLB, a large facility, where he managed a group in charge of 5 beam lines, hosting a hundred of research groups per year. He thus worked in many different fields of physics and chemistry. Simultaneously, he developed research (255 publications) focused on polymer melts reptation, rubbers, liquid crystalline polymers and polymer nanocomposites under deformation, polyelectrolytes, electrostatic complexes and other soft matter biological applications.

摘要:

This talk will be dedicated to an open discussion on preliminary results. The focus of the work is to study the chain conformation of cellulose in ionic liquids for the development and application of cellulose ionic liquid solvents. Ionic liquids are considered as greener solvents towards other cellulose solvents in regard to sustainability (pollution, toxics).

We studied the influence of concentration on rheology, and on the solution structure at the nanoscale in semi-dilute solution by small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS). We considered MicroCrystalline Cellulose, but also Bacterial Cellulose, solutions in two different ionic liquids. We also followed the dissolution of Cellulose Nanocrystals.

Our ultimate goal is to focus on the chain conformation using Small Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) and deuterated cellulose chains and solvents. This should yield the single chain form factor chararcteristics, such as the persistence length and the diameter of the chains in ionic liquids.
